Key Responsibilities
As the Systems Administrator, you’ll be hands-on in managing, monitoring, and enhancing their IT systems with your main areas of focus including:
- Proactive System Oversight: Regularly monitor and tune system performance, keeping everything updated and secure, while swiftly addressing any technical issues that arise.
- User & Access Management: Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring smooth onboarding, account integrity, and secure access across our digital landscape.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software, ensuring reliable configurations, optimal setup, and secure, well-maintained backups within cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Network and Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain security measures, run regular audits, and configure network services to maintain secure and dependable connectivity.
- Backup and Restoration Preparedness: Develop and execute data backup strategies to safeguard information and enable swift recovery when needed.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting: Document system processes and generate insightful reports that support team transparency and continuous improvement.
- Advanced Technical Support: Provide knowledgeable Level 2 and 3 support, resolving escalated issues and collaborating with the IT team on complex incidents and technical strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background & Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science, plus relevant certifications (such as Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps, or ITIL Foundations), will support your success in this role.
- Technical Versatility: Experience with Windows Server and Azure will be essential, along with familiarity with virtualization tools like VMware.
- Security Expertise: An understanding of cybersecurity practices and tools for proactive threat management.
- Strong Problem Solver: A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with a keen eye for troubleshooting and optimising processes.
- Collaboration & Communication: You’ll thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, contributing to a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation.
