Lead a Business. Not Just a Delivery Function.

This is not a traditional Head of Delivery role.

We're not looking for someone whose primary focus is running projects, managing escalations, or overseeing implementation plans.

We're looking for someone who can run Delivery as a business within the business.

Someone who can build leadership capability, establish operating rhythms, create accountability, shape how the function scales, and balance customer outcomes with commercial performance.

This role sits at the intersection of delivery, people leadership, commercial management, and organisational growth.

You'll work closely with the executive team to ensure Delivery continues to scale as a high-performing, commercially successful function that delivers exceptional outcomes for both customers and the business.

 

What You'll Own

Delivery Business Leadership

  • Lead and scale the regional delivery function
  • Create the systems, structures, and operating rhythms that enable sustainable growth
  • Establish clear accountability, governance, and performance management across the function
  • Develop leadership capability within the delivery organisation and create pathways for future growth
  • Build a function that can scale through leadership, process, and operational excellence—not through individual heroics

Delivery Excellence & Operational Maturity

  • Define and evolve delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, reporting, and quality standards
  • Ensure consistent execution across multiple customer implementations and delivery streams
  • Build scalable delivery capability that creates repeatable, predictable outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery practices, tooling, resource planning, and operational effectiveness

Customer & Commercial Outcomes

  • Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders
  • Balance customer success with commercial accountability and delivery profitability
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership to support growth and long-term customer value
  • Ensure commercial considerations are embedded into delivery decisions and resource planning

Strategic Leadership

  • Shape the operating model for the delivery organisation as the business continues to grow
  • Influence organisational priorities, capability planning, and workforce strategy
  • Partner with the executive team on business planning, organisational design, and scaling initiatives
  • Create clarity, alignment, and focus in a fast-moving environment

You've moved beyond simply leading projects and programs.

You've built teams, developed leaders, created operating models, improved organisational capability, and owned commercial outcomes.

Most importantly, you've learned how to scale a function through systems, leadership, and structure—not through personal intervention.

 

You'll Bring

  • Experience leading a delivery, professional services, consulting, or technology function of approximately 60–100+ people
  • Demonstrated success scaling teams, functions, or business units through periods of growth and organisational change
  • Experience leading through managers and leadership layers, not solely through individual contributors
  • Strong commercial acumen, including ownership of budgets, utilisation, profitability, forecasting, revenue, or P&L outcomes
  • A track record of creating operating models, governance frameworks, accountability mechanisms, and delivery rhythms that improve organisational performance
  • Experience building leadership capability, succession pathways, and high-performing management teams
  • Experience leading enterprise software implementations across multiple customers and delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level
  • Confidence navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and organisational complexity

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries
  • Experience within SaaS, software vendor, consulting, or professional services environments
  • Experience running a delivery organisation as a business unit, practice, or service line
