The Client 

My client is a are a purpose-led digital platform that supports everyday transactions within community-based environments.Their technology helps streamline how payments are made, managed and settled across multiple stakeholders, improving operational efficiency and reducing reliance on manual processes. 

Their platform processes significant transaction volumes weekly and plays a critical role in enabling cashless school communities.

The need has now arisen for a Product Manager with a strong payments focus to join the business as they transition into a more aligned, lifecycle-based squad model, investing in strengthening their payments capability to ensure it remains scalable, reliable and future-ready.

The Role

This is a Product Manager role focused on payments platform capability,

You will be responsible for strengthening how payments are processed, settled and integrated across their ecosystem.

Your focus will include:

• Payment gateway integrations
• Digital and in-person payment flows
• Supplier payouts and settlement
• Improving reliability and scalability of transactions

You will work within a cross-functional squad alongside Engineering and Design to improve how payments operate across both customer-facing and operational experiences.

This includes everything from how a parent makes a payment through to how funds are settled with suppliers.

 

About You

You are a mid-weight Product Manager who enjoys improving real systems, not just launching new features.

You likely bring:

• Experience working with payment gateways or transaction platforms
• Exposure to integrations and vendor-led environments
• Experience operating in cross-functional squads

You might also have:

• POS or retail payments exposure
• Supplier payout or settlement experience
• Marketplace or multi-sided payment experience

But you should:

• Understand how payments ecosystems operate
• Be comfortable working with engineering teams and external providers
• Enjoy solving operational and platform challenges
