Job Description

Mid Android Engineer

Remote / Work From Home – PH-based | Full-time

Build impactful mobile experiences. Push the boundaries of Android. Shape the future of digital products.

Join a CX transformation brand that partners with Australia’s most recognised names including Bupa, NAB, Qantas, Westpac, and Woolworths.

As an Android Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our mobile engineering team—designing, building, and maintaining Android apps that make a difference. You won’t just code features—you’ll solve real-world challenges like real-time streaming, GPS precision, and wearable integration, shaping experiences relied on by thousands daily.

If you’re passionate about clean, scalable Android development and thrive in collaborative, growth-driven environments—this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain Android apps with Kotlin/Java, Jetpack, and MVVM

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end features

  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that aligns with UX goals

  • Contribute to technical discussions, solution design, and peer code reviews

  • Ensure performance optimisation and secure handling of data in mobile apps

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies—stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives

  • Share knowledge across the team, update documentation, and present in Guilds or Town Halls

What we’re looking for:

  • 3-7 years of hands-on Android development experience

  • Solid experience with Kotlin and Java

  • Familiarity with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, GraphQL, and data integration

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing

  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile app optimisation

  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to work independently and autonomously while staying highly collaborative

  • Experience working with Australian or international clients in similar environments is highly preferred

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with Flutter or React Native

  • Familiarity with Firebase, Crashlytics, or analytics tools

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Contributions to open-source projects or GitHub portfolio

Why join us?

  • Competitive salary package

  • Fully remote role, PH-based, with flexible working culture

  • Work on products that directly impact people’s lives

  • Learn, grow, and collaborate with a supportive and innovative team

  • Exposure to diverse projects with Australia’s leading enterprises

Be part of a team that thrives on craft, collaboration, and innovation.
