Job Description

DevOps Engineer - AWS
Sydney
$125,000 + super + $20k bonus

Work from home 5 days a week. Choose your hours. In a stable business that’s not reliant on external funding.

You don’t see many of those jobs advertised any more do you?

You’d have that here though. You’d also get paid a $20,000 bonus for learning. A personal Health Plan/Insurance. 18 Weeks Parental Leave and lots more.

Whilst many companies are calling their teams back to the office, this consultancy isn’t. They’re more interested in outcomes than where the work is done.

Outcomes like the 4 RFP’s they’ve just secured to build AWS infrastructure and services for contact centres.

Which is why they are growing the team. And if you’re the kind of person who’s interested in AI, it’s an opportunity for you to build AI into contact flows.

They’re big advocates for developing their people so they incentivise training by offering end of year bonuses of up to $20,000 annually. The more accreditations you get in areas like Cloud and Architecture, the bigger your bonus.

With that in mind, they’re looking for people with anywhere between 3 and 7 years experience building AWS infrastructure.

The job you’d be doing is consulting with their customers, mostly government sector contact centres. You’ll design, implement, and managem cloud-based systems, including AWS Connect and Generative AI.

The tech you’ll be exposed to and solutions you build will be varied. Before long you’ll lead your own projects building IaC, migrating client apps to the cloud, implementing new tool chains.

You could already be ready to take on your own projects with some guidance.  Or earlier in your career as DevOps Engineer looking for an experienced team and environment that can get you there a bit faster.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building cloud infrastructure (AWS)

  • Supporting pre-Sales solutioning for AWS Connect / Contact Centre solutions

  • Build  internal DevOps practices for application on customer environments

What you Need

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer building AWS infrastructure

  • End to end knowledge of tool chains such as Ansible, Github, Jenkins (we’re open on this, tell us what you’ve done)

  • Coding and debugging skills, ideally Python
