Desktop Support Engineer (Level 1/2) – NV1 Cleared

Location: Brisbane CBD, QLD
Contract: 12 Months
Rate: $45-48 per hour inclusive of super
Security Clearance: Active NV1 Required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer / End User Support Technician to join a large enterprise technology environment in Brisbane on a 12-month contract.

This is a hands-on, onsite support role where you'll be responsible for delivering Level 1/2 technical support, troubleshooting end-user issues and maintaining workplace IT systems.

You'll be a key point of contact for onsite IT support, so we're looking for someone who is technically confident, proactive and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1/2 desktop and end-user support across Windows environments.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity and peripheral issues.

  • Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and IT equipment.

  • Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM ticketing systems.

  • Support user onboarding, workstation setup and IT equipment deployments.

  • Assist with basic networking, LAN connectivity and video conferencing equipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades and software installations.

  • Maintain IT asset records, technical documentation and support procedures.

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Provide occasional support to other sites when required.

About You

  • Active NV1 Security Clearance – Mandatory.

  • Australian Citizenship – Mandatory.

  • Ability to meet applicable ITAR requirements.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in desktop support, IT support or a similar technical role, with broader IT experience highly regarded.

  • Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows 10/11, laptops, desktops and peripherals.

  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN and Ethernet.

  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage your own workload and work autonomously.

  • Current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle.

  • Willingness to travel to other sites when required.
