Job Description

Drive a multi-year transformation and deliver technology-enabled change at one of Victoria's most respected statutory bodies.


With a hybrid-first setup, you'll balance three days in the office with the flexibility to work from home. You'll take senior ownership of analysis and delivery across systems, processes and stakeholder engagement, bringing structure to complexity and enabling smarter, more modern operations across a broad transformation agenda.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract supporting a flagship transformation program.

You'll work across a portfolio of strategic initiatives spanning technology modernisation, business process improvement, data and reporting uplift, governance and risk capability, customer experience and operating model change. You'll lead discovery and current-state analysis, shape future-state processes and operating models, define business and functional requirements, and ensure every solution is grounded in genuine business need and built to last. You'll engage directly with executives, general managers, vendors and delivery partners, helping align stakeholders, resolve ambiguity and drive practical delivery outcomes.

This isn't a passive requirements-gathering role. You'll lead workshops, challenge constructively, synthesise complex information quickly and help shape what gets built and how. The role is highly visible with direct executive exposure, and your work will influence how the firm modernises its operations over the next several years.

 

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis across multiple transformation workstreams
  • Map current-state processes and define future-state operating models, requirements and business rules
  • Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews and analysis sessions with executives, SMEs and technology teams
  • Produce high-quality artefacts including BRDs, process maps, options papers, decision support material and acceptance criteria
  • Engage confidently with senior stakeholders to surface risks, challenge assumptions and align on outcomes
  • Support vendor engagement, solution assessment, procurement activities and implementation planning
  • Maintain clear traceability between business requirements, process design and solution delivery
  • Contribute to delivery governance, business readiness assessment and transition to BAU
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise or automate processes across the program


What you'll need

  • Minimum 10 years' demonstrable experience in senior business analysis, business transformation or technology-enabled change
  • Strong business process engineering capability, including current-state assessment and future-state design
  • Proven ability to operate in complex, ambiguous environments and bring structure to difficult business problems
  • Experience working directly with executives, senior business leaders, SMEs, vendors and technology teams
  • Strong facilitation skills, able to lead workshops, resolve ambiguity and drive stakeholder alignment
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality analysis artefacts tailored to senior and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery approaches, able to right-size to context
  • Experience in insurance, legal services, financial services, government or other regulated environments desirable
  • Hands-on, pragmatic style with strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Melbourne-based, with flexibility (3:2 hybrid model) to attend the CBD office as needed
