Job Description
How far can Wi-Fi really go?
100 feet? 200? Cute. Try 16 kilometres.
Ridiculous? Maybe. Game-changing? Definitely. Imagine IoT devices in the middle of nowhere, running for years on a coin battery. That’s the future this team is building — and they need someone like you to help make it real.
You’ll be writing firmware that pushes Wi-Fi into uncharted territory, diving deep into RTOS and power optimisation until you’re dreaming in interrupts. You’ll be side-by-side with Analog, Systems and Digital IC engineers, getting a front-row seat to how multi-core SoCs and next-gen wireless standards come to life.
This isn’t corporate maintenance. This is greenfield code, a healthy R&D budget, and a founder-led group of engineers who know what it takes to build something new. Fewer than 200 people, but with the kind of buzz that makes you want to come in every day (well, four days a week — one from home).
Why you’ll like it here:
-
Salary + stock options
-
Brand new office near Central with skyline views
-
Free coffee, karaoke nights, running clubs, tape-out parties
-
Relocation + visa sponsorship if you’re overseas
Why they’ll like you:
-
5+ years of firmware in C
-
RTOS under your belt (FreeRTOS, ThreadX, Zephyr, etc.)
-
Wireless chops — Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, Bluetooth
-
Degree in EE/Comms Eng/CS or similar
If you’ve ever wanted to help rewrite the Wi-Fi story, this is your shot.
