Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Sydney, Hybrid, 3 days WFH

Here, SRE is a strategic pillar baked into every part of the business. At this 150-person scale-up, it’s respected, embedded, and thriving. Not an afterthought or glorified on-call rota.

The previous SRE lead built this function from the ground up and earned a promotion to a broader infrastructure leadership role. Now it’s your turn to take the reins, grow your influence across teams, and push the reliability culture to new heights.

You’ll join a sharp, collaborative platform team that ships over 30 features weekly. The observability and blameless incident culture are mature, and engineers are genuinely engaged and eager to learn about scalability and testing. You won’t need to convince anyone why SRE matters, they live it every day.

Your mission? Own and grow the testing guild. Drive initiatives in load testing, chaos engineering, performance coaching, and test automation. Mentor developers to be more self-sufficient, while leading high-impact projects around reliability and disaster recovery.

You’ll have real autonomy to make architectural decisions and influence platform strategy at scale. The CTO and Head of Engineering have laid solid foundations and fully back SRE as a strategic driver, so no blockers or pointless meetings, just serious buy-in and resources.

Who you are

You’re a software-focused engineer, Python and/or Go preferred, passionate about resilience and scale.
