As the Systems Engineer you will be responsible for scaling operations by supporting the L2 team, addressing complex technical challenges, and implementing best practices across the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Working alongside the Senior Systems Engineer and key stakeholders, you will enhance IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless service delivery across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Support: Provide technical guidance to L2 engineers, identify gaps, and update standard procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Automation & Integration: Collaborate with application teams to embed and automate application rollouts through Microsoft Entra. If a department requires a new tool, this role will ensure every new hire in that department receives it seamlessly on their laptop from day one.
- System Management & Optimisation: Oversee and maintain Office 365, Intune, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. Responsibilities include troubleshooting EDM failures, resolving application rollout issues, and ensuring effective laptop provisioning.
- Security & Networking: Support integrations in SSO and maintain smooth operations across Fortigate and other key vendor solutions.
- IT Operations Scaling: Spin up virtual machines, provision resources, and design Azure solutions to support business demands.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong experience with Azure, Microsoft Entra, Intune, and the full Microsoft 365 suite.
- In-depth knowledge of identity management, SSO integrations, and system provisioning.
- Experience in networking, security, and working with vendors like Fortigate.
- Ability to liaise with different teams, gather requirements, and implement IT solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust.
- Process-driven mindset with expertise in ITIL, change management, and best practices.
