You’ll be working at secret and later top-secret levels of security clearance in this Tech Support/Helpdesk role, joining the Brisbane QLD helpdesk of a globally renowned private business.

This business is associated with government, and as such this role is ONLY open to Australian Citizens, as Government security clearance is required we are looking for candidates with NV1 clearance.

 

Starting as a contract role, there is room for you to become a permanent member of the organisation down the line. Plus, having security clearance places you in the unique position of being able to access other similar roles in future.

 

The Role

 

In this position you will be troubleshooting moderately complex delivery systems or network issues and escalate problem as appropriate and assist with basic computing delivery systems configuration management.

 

You will be responsible for applying compliance of IT operations against industry standards, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT operations, and escalating and coordinating the resolution of basic hardware or networking issues to vendors and suppliers.

 

You must also ensure that all documentation is current and aligns with Policies and Procedures, as well as participating in and responding to tasks as notified through the IT Service Desk.

 

About you

  • Experienced in the support of networked PCs running Windows-based software applications
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in PC Support, with Windows 10/11.
  • Windows 11 exposure an advantage.
  • Working knowledge and experience with PC hardware and peripheral equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain NV1 clearance
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Certificate Level qualifications in IT and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to undertake ad-hoc tasks out of hours and available to be rostered for on-call duties if required
  • Driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel to remote sites if required
