Engineering Manager – Identity & Access Management
Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid (3 days in)

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our global financial services client to drive User Access Management (IAM) across a massive-scale application (7,000+ applications, with a goal of 20,000). You’ll lead three squads, and play a pivotal role in shaping secure, scalable, and cutting-edge access management solutions. This role offers an unparalleled learning curve and a chance to deliver critical impact at scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide technical direction to your teams, ensuring alignment with standards and best practices.
- Contribute hands-on, including peer pull requests, troubleshooting, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with squads to onboard a vast range of applications (servers, databases, containers, and more) to the IAM framework.
- Drive implementation of SailPoint solutions, including authentication, authorisation, credential storage, and token refresh mechanisms.
- Focus on problem-solving: analyse issues and identify effective, scalable solutions.
- Drive process automation and improve operational efficiency for long-term scalability.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience leading technical teams and delivering results.
- Expertise in the implementation of HOW IAM works: authorisation, authentication, credential management, token refresh, and onboarding.
- Proven experience managing large-scale applications using Java and AWS (Java & AWS Preferred but not a must)
