The Opportunity
If you're an actuary or quantitative analyst who enjoys solving complex mathematical problems rather than producing the same reports month after month, this is an opportunity to do work that genuinely shapes the future of financial advice.
Joining a leading financial technology business, you'll be responsible for developing and enhancing sophisticated actuarial and quantitative models that underpin retirement, investment and insurance advice solutions used by major financial institutions.
You'll work at the intersection of actuarial science, technology and product innovation, collaborating with engineers, product specialists and industry experts to transform complex legislation and advice strategies into scalable digital solutions.
You'll take ownership of the quantitative frameworks that power a sophisticated advice platform, including:
- Designing, validating and enhancing actuarial and mathematical models
- Solving complex quantitative challenges across wealth, retirement and insurance
- Translating legislation and advice policy into scalable calculation logic
- Working closely with Product and Engineering teams to embed models into technology platforms
- Supporting clients through technical implementation and quantitative enhancements
- Driving continuous improvement across modelling, testing and deployment processes
- Monitoring legislative and taxation changes to ensure models remain accurate and compliant
About You
- 5+ years' experience in actuarial or quantitative analysis within financial services
- Experience across wealth management, investments, superannuation or insurance
- Strong mathematical modelling and analytical capability
- The ability to design and maintain complex financial calculation frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills and exposure to JSON or similar modelling/configuration tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply
- A passion for solving challenging quantitative problems in a collaborative environment.
