Verification & Validation Engineer
Sydney | Full-time | Hybrid
(NB Australian Citizenship is required in order to obtain NV1 Clearance )
When systems operate in environments where failure has real-world consequences, testing isn’t a phase. It’s the proof that everything works when it matters.
This team builds and delivers complex sensing systems used in high-stakes environments. The engineering is deep, the standards are high, and the expectation is simple: if it ships, it works.
You’ll sit at the intersection of software, hardware, and systems engineering making sure that happens.
What you’ll tackle
- Own system and subsystem V&V across multiple live projects
- Design test strategies that reflect real-world use, not just specs
- Write and execute V&V plans, test procedures, and scenarios
- Run formal and informal testing across integrated systems
- Raise and investigate defects with enough detail to drive real fixes
- Support customer-facing test events, reviews, and validation activities
- Work closely with engineers to close the loop between design and reality
You’ll thrive here if
- You’ve worked in system-level testing, not just isolated QA
- You understand how software, hardware, and systems come together
- You’ve written proper V&V or test documentation, not just executed scripts
- You can get into C/C++ when needed to understand behaviour
- You’re comfortable in Linux and Windows environments
- You’ve used tools like DOORS, Bugzilla, or similar engineering systems
- Bonus points if you’ve come from sonar, radar, avionics, or defence-adjacent environments
