What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and building backend systems that handle real complexity - cleanly and at scale

• Raising the bar for engineering quality through thoughtful reviews and technical leadership

• Working closely with product, design, and data to deliver features that have genuine user impact

• Contributing to architectural decisions across a modern, evolving platform

• Helping shape engineering culture where autonomy, trust, and craft matter more than red tape

What You Bring

• Strong backend experience with Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)

• Solid cloud knowledge (AWS or Azure) and experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience building scalable, resilient systems in production

• Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems

• A track record of mentoring or supporting other engineers

• A mindset that values simplicity, clarity, and long-term quality over quick hacks
