Tech Lead - Founding Team

Yes, that’s right, 5 days a week in the office. 

You’re going to be a part of a founding team and building an engineering culture and whilst we know that can be done remotely, the idea is to get a team of A-players together, to collaborate, talk product and engineering and get to know each other in-person. Crazy right! 

At least initially it will be in office anyway - as tech lead, you’ll be responsible for the engineering culture so how it’s done long term will be down to you. 

The team is being built as we speak and the threshold for talent is high. You’ll be joining some pretty impressive people and getting aligned early is important. This is a hands-on role and you’ll be leading architectural decisions and making tech trade-offs but it is a leadership role and so being a people person, understanding how they tick and wanting to get the most out of people is just as, if not more important than the technical side. Although, being a lead of seniors with impressive backgrounds, you’ll want to be able to show what you can do!

Tech stack is TypeScript on AWS and you’ll be responsible for the whole stack - frontend, backend, DevOps, testing, AI. Basically anything tech is down to you so you’ll be an experienced full-stack dev from a product background where you’ll had to get your hands dirty in areas that wouldn’t traditionally fit in your space.

This role won’t suit everyone but if you get excited by being a part of a small but mighty team and helping them succeed, working closely with a founding team, love the thrill of start-ups / scale-ups and understand the benefits of in-person collaboration, this one might just be for you.
