Head of National Partnerships - Insurance

Insurance is often a grudge purchase, a product we reluctantly take out, and when we have a claim, we hope and pray we've understood all of the fineprint and there will be a fast, smooth process to recoup what we think we will receive.

How You'll Make An Impact 

  • Take full ownership of the development and execution of affinity and partnership business acquisition strategies from inception to execution with a view to achieving revenue targets
  • Identify new affinity business opportunities
  • Compile a comprehensive pipeline of insurance intermediary opportunities with a focus on health funds and community banks
  • Keep abreast of competitor activities and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Manage existing affinity partner relationships to drive mutual value and benefit
  • Manage the bids and tenders process from creation to submission
  • Work closely with the leadership team to drive strategic opportunities and keep them abreast of progress to goals

What You'll Need to Add Value

You're a natural relationship driver who thrives on delivering results.  You're self driven, able to think on your feet and adapt your style to suit your audience. You are a great presenter but equally a great listener, taking the time to understand your customer/audience needs and tailor solutions accordingly.  You have a mix of 'hunter' and 'farmer' traits, taking pride in winning new business but equally thrive on nurturing and maximising national, and sometimes geographically dispersed, relationships to their fullest potential.  You will be able to confidently demonstrate your:

  • Proven successful strategic sales track record, achieving targets/market share/revenue and exceeding KPIs in the insurance industry  
  • Established relationships/knowledge of health funds and community banks will be highly advantageous
  • Proven success in driving new business
  • Strong leadership, including coaching and mentoring of successful sales teams, showcasing an inspirational leadership style across your team and the business
  • Solid understanding and hands on experience managing relationships with third party distribution channels  
  • Your ability to build and maintain collaborative strategic and commercial partnerships and networks
