Senior Machine Learning Engineer

$140,000 - $160,000 + super + (16%) bonus

Surry Hills Sydney with WFH Flexibility

Overview:We have a permanent opportunity with one of Australia's largest retail companies, who are partnered with a world class data-science and advanced analytics business, you will be working to re-imagine retail by solving the most complex problems using data and analytics. This role is part of their platform team working to develop internal operations.

We are looking for an experienced engineer in Machine Learning with a strong software background to play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, scaling, and maintaining solutions using Google Cloud (GCP) products. This role will act as the glue between Data Science and Engineering and will require you to be able to present solutions so great communication is key. An opportunity to work alongside some of the best in Advanced Analytics and be part of something that can transform retail ops for the future.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Cloud-based ML pipelines to solve a broad range of business problems
• Enhance the Engineering Guild capability through pioneering new tech and approaches
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers & Data Engineers to develop cutting-edge retail tools
• Create, present, and seek inputs and feedback on architecture and solution designs
• Apply relevant testing frameworks to ensure the robustness of solutions
• Communicate analyses, insights, solution designs, and showcase working solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of commercial software development experience and system design
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and Linux
• Hands-on experience in Kubernetes (Argo/Kubeflow) or Docker
